Optimal Control Strategy of Cholera Epidemic Dynamics from Vibrio and Flies Transmission

Abstract

In this paper, we studied the spread of cholera in a mathematical model that incorporates data on public health interventions. We are interested in simulating an outbreak of cholera from three carriers: humans, bacterium vibrio cholerae and flies. Equilibrium analysis is conducted in the case with constant control for both epidemic and endemic dynamics. Numerical simulations are used to verify the analysis, and optimal solutions are computed by using an optimal control study.
